On The Way to Milan

MILAN, Feb 20, 2005/ FW/ --- The current womenswear fashion season continues on with Milan, as the city hosts Milan Donna Fall 2005.
With a full runway show calendar that features the world’s most well known designers, the fashion set, no matter how weary and tired they are, descend in Milan with an upbeat mindset, including this journalist.
For this fashionista, the Fall 2005 season started here in Milan last January 16 with the kick off the menswear season. And it has been non-stop until now, as the season moved from city to city.
So, earlier today, when I was sitting at Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris watching the snow flurries while waiting for my flight to Milan, I just realized how much I was looking forward attending the Milan womenswear season.
Tired as I was after a 10-hour flight plus 2 more hours flying time to get to Milan, I felt lighthearted knowing that I will see a lot of fashion innovations as designers break new grounds this season.
Landing in Milan past 10:00 in the evening, the first thing that greeted at the airport was a gargantuan neon sign saying “Emporio Armani.”
I considered it a good omen, specially that tomorrow afternoon; the design maestro is showing his Fall 2005 collection for Emporio Armani.
