Nicola Finetti: "Sensuality in A Modern Silhouette"
By Mari Davis
SYDNEY, May 9, 2003/ FW/ --- Nicola Finetti's design philosophy is for a "woman to show
sensuality in a modern silhouette." His Spring 2004 collection was a statement attesting to that
philosophy.

Using white, rust, and black as his main color pallette, the Italian-born designer transplanted
in Australia sent modern day goddesses on the runway.
If ever Proserpina, the goddess of spring and the underworld, decides to walk on the runway,
she will choose Nicola Finetti to dress her.
It's because, the collection is worth a look by the gods.
Mixing architectural silhouttes with soft, flowing design, Finetti sent ankle-length dresses
which were draped and sheered, yet showed structure.
To create volume on soft fabric, the designer ruched and sheered, creating a very
sensual effect.
The models looked like they were floating and not walking.
Following the mini-skirt trend that permeated during the Fall 2003 season from New York to
Paris, Finetti sent two-toned mini dresses and mini skirts ensembles on the runway.
Some are slinky, some are downright sexy, emphasing the female form.
And for that, Prosepina will cross the river Styx to go back to our world and wear this clothes.
