Nicola Finetti: A Summer Treat

SYDNEY, May 4, 2005/ FW/ --- Ethnic wonder floats throughout Nicola Finetti’s spring summer 2005/06 collection as African inspired beading appears like warrior breastplates on t-shirts, hangs as tassels from eveningwear and winds around delicate shoulder straps for striking detail.

Femininity comes via layers that play with volume, like the white baby doll that falls to the knee in multiple soft layers, along with frilly hemlines that bounce as models walk before turning to reveal deep low back outfits exposing the perfect Australian tan.

Large sequins and brass studs embellish Finetti’s contemporary collection that is bound to be hard to keep on the shelves, and how could we not mention those delicious wooden heeled sandals that are most definitely due to become a summer treat.
