Nicola Finetti, and Italian expat who has been living in Australia for almost a decade
must be thinking of Italy when he designed his Spring 2002 collection.
Seemingly inspired by the Greco-Roman mythology, each item in the collection is fit
for a goddess.
From Venus to Hera to Diana, the opulent collection made of chiffon and silk is both
feminine and strong, just like the Greco-Roman godesses.
If we look at the modern woman, which is Finetti's target audience, the description
of these mythical creatures as described by Ovid fits - intelligent, headstrong and
a master of their own fate.
