Gen Art Turns 10
New York Fashion Week Fall 2003

NEW YORK, Feb 7, 2003/ FW/ --- It started small in 1993, when Ian and Stefan Gerard along with
Melissa Neuman founded Gen Art in 1993 to promote fine arts.
Through hard work, the founders found sponsors to showcase emerging talents in the visual arts,
fashion and film.
Today, Gen Art is one of the nation's premier organizations in promoting young and talented
individuals.
To celebrate its 10th year anniversay, Gen Art is holding a star-studded fashion show at the
Manhattan Center's Grand Ballroom at the Waldorf-Astoria as three young fashion designers -
Victor de Souza, Binetti and Twinkle by Wenlan unveil their Fall 2003 collection.
It promises to be an unforgettable birthday bash with Macy Gray, Alek Wek, and Izabella Miko
to walk the runway.
Samantha Cole, Ben Chaplin, Deborah Gibson, MTV's Suchin Pak, Miss Teen USA Vanesa Marie
Semrow, Patricia Field, David Lauren and Amy Sacco, among others are expected to attend.
Sponsored by L'Oreal Feir, the official hair color and sponsor of Gen Art fashion shows, expect
exciting hair colors on Victor De Souza's models to see the looks for Fall 2003 hair styles.
Other sponsors of the show include Ecru New York, Creative Nail Design, Lancome, Christiana
Vodka and Heinekn.
It was in 1995 when Gen Art started sponsoring fashion designers and it was during the Fall
2001 season that it debuted at the tents in Bryant Park.
Sponsored by Nokia, the featured designers were All Saint, Jared Gold, Paige Novick and
Trosman-Churba.
