Curvy Celebs, Sexy Firefighter Heat Up Catwalk
New York Fashion Week Fall 2003

NEW YORK, Feb 5, 2003/ FW/ --- New York Fashion Week does not officially start till Friday, February 7, but the runways are already heating up.

Curvy celebrities and models in next to nothing will wow the world on Wed. Feb 5th in the world's only PLUS SIZE lingerie fashion show webcast.

Showing sizzling Valentine's Day gift ideas, sexy models for the nation's top plus size retailer, Lane Bryant, will stage an evening of curves, corsets and cabaret entertainment on the runway.

The fashions are hot enough to steam up your Valentine's Day. So hot that the company recruited a real-life female firefighter to model lingerie, heating up the catwalk!

An exclusive audience of celebrities and VIPS will see the live show in New York City on Tuesday Feb. 4th.

If you cannot be there, don't worry. Just log on at www.lanebryant.com during the worldwide webcast premiere on Wednesday February 5, 2003 at 7pm eastern time to see the show.

The fashion show will unite rock royalty's new generation with the old. Kelly Osbourne is expected to pose backstage with rock icon Steven Tyler of Aerosmith.

The rocker will watch his voluptuous daughter Mia Tyler on the runway.

Bigger-than-life actress Roseanne will serve as mistress of ceremonies for the one-of-a-kind fashion show.

Plus-size models hitting the runways is no longer a big surprise to the fashion industry nor to the retail industry.

The plus size fashion show comes on the heels of a new survey that shows attitudes about bigger Americans are changing.

In a recent survey, three-quarters of people said they think it's okay to be bigger. That's up significantly from 45% in a similar survey 14 years ago.

Today more than half of all women wear size 14 or larger while the 1985 average was size 8.
