Carmen Marc Valvo Launches New Lines During New York Fashion Week
New York Fashion Week Fall 2004
DALLAS, Jan 28, 2004/ FW/ --- We know him as the quintessential American designer who designed the Bryant Ring in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Tents at Bryant Park.
We also know him as the favorite of Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Lucy Liu and Oprah Winfrey when it comes to red carpet dressing.
Aspiring models recognize him as the New York-based designer who was a guest at the second episode of UPN’s “America’s Next Top Model.
To the fashion flock, he is known as a 7th Avenue success story, who in 1989 founded his company with $10,000 and various credit cards. His debut collection was presented in a borrowed showroom and he personally delivered the first order of 110 black cocktail dresses himself.
Today, his creations are sold at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales and Bergdorf Goodman.
And on his 15th anniversary in the fashion business, Carmen Marc Valvo is once again ready to take another journey – adding new brand extensions to his already successful eponymous label.
On February 12, the same day that the designer will present his Fall 2004 Couture show in “The Tent” at Bryant Park, three new brands will be added to the Carmen Marc Valvo lines: CMV by Carmen Marc Valvo, a new daytime dresses collection, Carmen Marc Valvo shoes and Carmen Marc Valvo Home, a premiere bed and bath linens line.
With average price points starting at $320, CMV by Carmen Marc Valvo is perfect for ladylike fashions without breaking your pocketbooks. Bright colors, simple shapes, sweet prints and flattering fits characterize this modern collection.
Sold primarily at Neiman Marcus, this daytime occasion dresses can also be found at select specialty stores around the country.
Made in Italy using the finest leather, silk, satin, snakeskin and lace, the Carmen Marc Valvo shoe collection will make its debut on the New York runway during this upcoming fashion week.
The whole collection, which will be available at fine shoe retailers come fall has heels ranging from 2” to 5”, with prices beginning at $250.
Continuing to expand the brand into new arenas, Carmen Marc Valvo debuts his first Home collection of luxury bed and bad linens in 2004.
“Carmen Marc Valvo Home” features fine bed linens (such as duvets, comforters, sheets and shams) in a palette of warming colors for the season ahead. Valvo will design a Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter collection each season.
These three lines have been created to compliment the “Carmen Marc Valvo Couture,” the “Carmen Marc Valvo Collection” bridge line and “Carmen Marc Valvo Women” plus size line.
