NEW YORK, Feb 8, 2005/ FW/ --- Fashion makes strange bedfellows, or in this case, strange seatmates as Kohler, best known for their kitchen and bath products launches its new Purist® Hatbox Toilet during Olympus Fashion Week Fall 2005.

The reason – it’s all about the design. Just as the tents at Bryant Park features the upcoming high fashion, Kohler is also introducing its latest kitchen and bath fashion, the Purist® Hatbox Toilet, a product that is destined to redefine common perceptions of what the traditional American toilet should look like.

“Like the fashion industry, design is part of the fiber of everything that we do at Kohler to constantly develop new products that enhance the gracious living possible in today's kitchens and bathrooms," David Kohler, President - Kohler Kitchen and Bath Group, said in a statement.”

So, at the lobby of the tents, there is the Purist® Hatbox Toilet for everyone to inspect. And it is truly amazing!

It’s a one-piece toilet, (not the usual two), wherein the water tank is part and parcel of the structure. And if you’re wondering how you flush it, there is a little button at the right hand side, just press when you’re done!

The best thing about it is that the seat and cover is automatic. Once you stand up, the toilet closes by itself!

As part of its sponsorship of Fashion Week, Kohler is offering attendees the opportunity to experience the new Purist Hatbox toilet firsthand by utilizing an Original KOHLER Restroom, one of several mobile luxury restrooms located throughout Bryant Park during the week.

These gracious restrooms offer close-to-home comfort, complete with premium KOHLER lavatories and faucets, full-length mirrors, artwork, music and a temperature-controlled environment
