Kapadia: School Will Be In For Summer 2005
New York Fashion Week Spring 2005
By: Randal Jacobs

NEW YORK, Sep 17, 2004/ FW/ --- Just recently attending his own class reunion, Romain Kapadia gained inspiration of his own prep days in school.

Paying homage to an 80's style of dressing, the collection came to life in plaid and floral prints.

This senior academy class was in full swing with sweater vest, cargo pants and cardigans. Boyish male models were styled in bow ties with jeans accompanied by patent leather tuxedo shoes.

The collection was unmistakably inspired by the movie “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”. Plaid golf shorts and long sleeve oxfords was at the head of this senior class.

Each outfit was named after senior notables including homecoming queen and valedictorian.

Notable pieces in the collection included lightweight jackets with zipper detailing in charcoal, black, olive and canvas.

Kapadia gave the prep some cool new threads just in time for Summer School.
