DALLAS, Dec 1, 2005/ FW/ --- ‘The continuing rapid expansion of Asia-Pacific’s emerging markets, together with improved performances from both the European and US markets, is expected to drive steady growth within the global market moving forward,’ says MarketResearch.com in its ‘Womenswear: Global Industry Guide’ report released Nov 7, 2005.

That said, the upcoming Fall 2006 womenswear season in New York slated from Feb 3, 2006 through Feb 10, 2006, places the American fashion houses in a good position to expand their market, and increases the importance of the Big Apple as a fashion capital.

According to the same report, ‘Brand name garments are popular; female consumers have developed a taste for fast fashion and foreign apparel, which should maintain healthy growth in the global market.’

With that in mind, the New York Fall 2006 season promises to be full of optimism for the year ahead.
