DALLAS, Aug 6, 2005/ FW/ --- In less than a month, the international fashion press will descend in New York to kick off the Spring 2006 womenswear ready-to-wear fashion season.

With over 80 names on the official calendar alone, the coming New York season promises to be one of the best showcases of American designers for both established houses and emerging talents.

Kicking both the Olympus Fashion Week and the womenswear ready-to-wear season is Kenneth Cole slated to show at The Tent in Bryant Park at 10:00 in the morning.

Kenneth Cole who consistently delights his audience with his sportswear has also been bringing smiles in Wall Street with the company’s excellent financial results that reported a 12% increase in earnings per share for the second quarter of this year.

Austin-based Tomer opens the UPS HUB with his Spring 2006 menswear collection. Honored the Rising Star Award by the Fashion Group International, the native Texan is well poised to follow the footsteps of Tom Ford in putting the Lone Star state on the fashion map once again.

Great news for Zang Toi fans! The New York-based designer is showing at The Tent, the biggest venue in Bryant Park because of popular demand.

Historically, Zang Toi shows at the Plaza, which is the medium-sized venue. Historically also, there is no room to spare for both seated and standing guests, including the photographer’s pit wherein every square inch has a camera equipment.

Zang Toi devotees that includes Sharon Stone and Farah Fawcett has finally convinced him to show at The Tent and he had graciously obliged this season.

Debuting this season under the tents are Italian fashion powerhouses Diesel and Strenesse. Diesel showed last Fall 2005 off-site while this is the first time that Strenesse will grace New York.

Returning to the tents are John Bartlett, Lacoste, and Tommy Hilfiger.

With a roster like this, Olympus Fashion Week Spring 2006 promises to be more exciting than ever.
