NEW YORK, Jan 22, 2007/ FW/ --- Three exciting designers, Tracy Reese, Jeremy Laing and Pegah Anvarian will unveil their Fall 2007 collections during the upcoming New York fashion season.
Tracy Reese
Sunday, February 4th, 2pm
The Promenade at Bryant Park
A designer who has reached ‘must see status’ during New York Fashion Week, fashion darling Tracy Reese once again raises the bar on her widely acclaimed women’s collection. For Fall 2007, sleek, sexy and clean looks with a Baroque air are grounded in black with a sophisticated use of color. And the look on the runway is head to toe Tracy Reese – including her new signature line of designer accessories – including shoes, handbags and jewelry co-designed with Gerard Yosca.
Jeremy Laing
Monday, February 5th, 11am – The West Side Loft
336 West 37th Street - btwn 8th and 9th Aves
This Toronto-based wunderkind returns to New York for his second runway collection in an airy, light-filled Chelsea Loft. For Fall 2007, Laing maintains an intelligent approach to fashion with a collection inspired by the color, texture and physical structure of the minerals on display at the Natural History Museum. He’ll showcase a custom print of microscopic images of minerals taken under polarized light. Laing also hand selected jewelry from the Carole Tanenbaum Vintage Collection to compliment the looks. Once again, models will walk the runway to live music, this time to the sounds of Final Fantasy. Budweiser Select is proudly sponsoring this season’s show.
Pegah Anvarian
Tuesday, February 6th, 7pm
The Showroom at Bryant Park
Los Angeles based designer, Pegah Anvarian is bringing her collection to New York this season after making her West Coast debut in 2002. Her highly anticipated Bryant Park show has both fashionistas and celebrities buzzing.
Anvarian finds her inspiration in all facets of life, from her signature fabric, which is knitted for her exclusively by an Italian mill, colors used in Moroccan architecture, lighting, the ocean, hip hop music and Brazilian film, to the dualities of Los Angeles, which has both a light and dark side.
For Fall 2007, Anvarian reinvents the Modern Femme Fatale – a complex woman who is neither easily captured nor defined, but emanates from the streets of the city with a radiant light. Of the new crop of first timers this season, she’ll be the one to watch!
