Paablo Nevada SYDNEY, May 9, 2004/ FW/ --- Wayne Homschek & Betty Fong, the two designers behind the Paablo Nevada label propose an all-skirts and all-dresses with a handful of hotpants for Spring 2005.

Holding their show very late in the evening at the plush Sydney’s W Hotel, it was an evening not only to promote Australian fashion, specifically the Paablo Nevada label, but also to promote Australian and New Zealand wines that were served freely to the guests.

(Note to wine lovers out there: Australian wines are outselling the French wines in the U.S. as of the end of 2003.)

Now, back to fashion --- barely there floaty dresses in minis or just above the knee, spaghetti-straps and deep-V necklines with the expected ruffles and bows dominated the collection.

It’s the designers’ interpretation of the current romantic trend with an old Hollywood glamour twist.
