Didier Grumbach Re-Elected as President of Chambre Syndicale

DALLAS, Dec 20, 2003/ FW/ --- The Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, France’s fashion governing body announced this month that Didier Grumbach has been re-elected unanimously as the President of the organization.
In a separate announcement, the chamber syndicale confirmed that Ralph Toledano, of the Chloé fashion house, has been elected as Chairman of the Chambre syndicale du prêt à porter des couturiers et des créateurs de mode, the organization’s arm in-charge of the ready-to-wear shows.
Toledano replaces Jean-Charles de Castelbajac who successfully completed his term of office this year.
Together with Laura Ungaro, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac was elected as Vice Chairman.
They will be replacing Simon Burstein (Sonia Rykiel fashion house) and Donald Potard (Jean-Paul Gaultier fashion house) who also successfully completed their terms of office this year.
According to the by-laws of the Chambre Syndicale, the terms of office of the Chairman and Vice Chairman for the Chambre syndicale du prêt à porter des couturiers et des créateurs de mode is for 2 years, renewable once.
It was also announced that for the Spring 2004 haute couture season, which will be held from January 19-24, 2004, Adeline Andre, Maurizio Galante, Grimaldi Giardina, Ji Haye, Ralph Rucci, Elie Saab and Franck Sorbier, have once again been re-invited as guest members.
DupresantBarbara who will show for the first time in January, has been sponsored by the Jean-Paul Gaultier fashion house as a guest member.
Bruno Pieters, Dice Kayek, Gilles Rosier, Keita Maruyama, Lagerfeld Gallery, Sharon Wauchob, Tsumori Chisato and Wendy & Jim have been elected as full or associate members of the Chambre syndicale du prêt à porter des couturiers et des créateurs de mode.
