Erin Fetherston Does Dreamscape

PARIS, Jan 25, 2005/ FW/ --- With Ralph Rucci canceling his haute couture presentation in Paris due to the death of his beloved mother, American upstart Erin Fetherston proudly carried torch to guarantee an American presence in the elite world of Paris haute couture with her Dreamscape collection.
She began the show with a skirt ensemble featuring a top with spaghetti straps. It was worn with a green vine in velvet laser cut fabric overlay. That vine element was then brought to fruition in a dress overlay and worn with dress in satin.
Her pink lace clover dress with asymmetrical bottom finishes above the knees. This same pink five-leaf clover creation is evolved later into a full dress.
Fetherston then sent out an overlay dress in green. Once removed, it reveals a simple dress appropriate for most occasions taking place over the summer. And with the overlay, I have no problem envisioning it being worn by a lovely young lady or svelte woman at a party or even at a wedding at the Hamptons.
The Dreamscape theme went on to show a simple party dress in a metallic silver. With its floral designed fabric, it is cut into a long V done the back of the thighs and runs past the knees.
The American designer went on to showcase her vision of spring with a dress in a light gold, worn with a matching jacket, which can easily be removed and worn apart as separates. I also judge her evening gowns to be most appropriate for the spring summer season as well as desirable.
Fetherston ended the show with her lovely wedding dresses. Cut well above the knees, the first dress is actually more of a cocktail dress with volume on the bottom half for a traditional touch. It has a hint of a perfect rainbow to it. Her second wedding dress is in white and is worn with an overlay in silver lace.
