Paris Menswear Show Fall 2006
PARIS, Dec 22, 2005/ FW/ --- The fashionistas received an early Christmas gift with the release of the Paris Menswear Fall 2006 Show schedule a few days earlier than expected.
With 47 names on the official calendar, the Paris menswear season highlights both established and emerging designers everyday, as proven crowd drawers are intermixed with newcomers, making each day a day of discovery.
During the first day, Friday, January 27, 2006, Rykiel Homme, Yohji Yamamoto, Issey Miyake by Naoki Takizawa, Louis Vuitton and John Galliano on the line up will make sure that the full contingency of press and retail buyers will be in Paris to the start the season.
Together with emerging designers Petar Petrov, Masatomo, Number (N)ine and Raf Simons, these nine fashion houses will kick off the Paris menswear season.
It might be the dead of winter on Saturday, January 28, 2006, yet the fashion set will definitely brave the cold for Junya Watanabe Man, Armand Basi, Gieves, Moritz Rogosky, Pierre Henri Mattout, Kris Van Assche, Comme Des Garcons Homme Plus, Dirk Schonberger, Dries Van Noten and Stephan Schneider.
The ‘middle’ of fashion week, Sunday, January 29, 2006, which Americans fondly call ‘hump day’ features Jeroen Van Tuyl, Paul & Joe, Ann Demeulemeester, Udo Edling, Bernard Willhelm, Yves Saint Laurent, Paul Smith, Kim Jones, Wendy & Jim Homme, Hermes and Veronique Branquinho.
Monday, January 30, 2006 provides excitement as Henrik Vibskov, Gilles Rosier, Agnes B, Emanuel Ungaro, Gaspard Yurkievich, Francesco Smalto, Wooyoungmi, Jean Paul Gaultier and Walter Van Beirendonck present their collections.
Givenchy and Dior, who are showing on the last day of the season, Tuesday, January 31, 2006 made sure that everyone would stay although New York Fashion Week kicks off on February 3.
Together with Dormeuil Par Pierre Henri Mattout, Thierry Mugler Homme, Romain Kremer, Spastor, Ute Ploier, and Resistance RT, these eight houses close the Paris Menswear Fall 2006 season.
