Sure enough, when the first model walked out wearing a color-blocked ensemble, it welcomed everyone to the youthful, cute and colorful world of Tsumori Chisato.

Almost 50 exits of hoodies, caftans, sundresses, shorts and swimsuits became a kaleidoscope of color. Optimism was in the air, and fun at the beach was the name of the game.

The audience was pumped, mostly young devotees of the designer. The Salle Soufflot venue at Le Carrousel du Louvre was filled to capacity, including the standing room area.

The target market is very narrow – youths from 15 to 25. Older than that and women might find the silhouettes to cutesy for them.

Nevertheless, the cool shapes and hip silhouettes will make it a hit with teens and young twenty-something.
