Haute Couture Preview: Wooky Cult Couture by Romy Smits
Paris Haute Couture Spring 2006

PARIS, Jan 11, 2006/ FW/ --- Between 1992 and 2001, Romy worked as a freelance consultant, visual merchandiser and art director for Dries van Noten.

In September 2002 she presented her first couture concept in knitted viscose. This collection was bought by Barney's New York amongst others.

Over the years, Romy Smits has developed her philosophy through several stylistic, functional and material expressive means.

Her innovative concepts, symbolic images, personal styling, fabrics and fashion are based on feelings and intuition.

She aims to depict the very fine line between intuition and shape, which connects the emotion and the object in fashion or interior design.

Wooky Cult Couture is for women looking for new forms of communicative expressions. All dresses and accessories are unique pieces made out of materials like leather, viscose and hand painted PU fabric."
