PARIS, Jan 23, 2006/ FW/ ---- While the fashion world has its eyes in Paris for the ultimate expression of creativity in fashion, the U.S. sports fans are eagerly waiting for the Super Bowl, the ‘Big Show’ as they call it.
And while super thin models strut the catwalk, on Sunday, the 2007 Cadillac Escalade will strut its stuff on the advertising runway called the Super Bowl XL.
Instead of models weighing 95 pounds dripping wet, the Escalades that weigh almost 1000 pounds seem gigantic will be previewed during a 60 second spot.
Explaining the difficulty of the project that featured over 250 extras, Tor Myhren of Leo Burnett Detroit, the ad agency that created the commercial said, “You’re dealing with eight super models, you’re dealing with a gigantic car. You’re dealing with building an entire stage to make it look like a real fashion show. So, you know the scope of the project is enormous.”
Did he just say super models and a fashion show?
So move over armchair quarterbacks, the lady of the house wants to sit on the Lazy-Boy to watch the ‘Big Show.’
