DALLAS, Sep 5, 2006/ FW/ --- In October, American fashion icon Stephen Burrows enters a new channel of distribution as he launches ‘ShopBurrows’ at eBay, the same time that he unveils his latest collection at Paris Pręt-a-Porter Spring 2007 season.

Burrows will present his new collection on Sunday, October 8th at 12:30 p.m. in Salle Soufflot at Le Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, as part of the French Fashion Week under the auspices of the Chambre Syndicale.

"This is Stephen's first return to the Paris runway since that historic event at Versailles in 1973, which presented him with a global view of fashion, and we're pleased that the Chambre Syndicale has welcomed him back with open arms," said Burrows' Managing Director, John Robert Miller.

The Stephen Burrows label is sold in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East. With his unveiling of the brand’s latest collection Paris, Burrows is taking the European market seriously and supporting the brand’s presence in the continent.

"It's a long awaited return for Stephen and we're proud to announce that Elsa Peretti has agreed to be our Patron when he presents his collection in Paris," Miller added. M.A.C. will provide makeup support on the runway.

The recipient of the 2006 CFDA's Board of Director's Special Tribute, Burrows known for his use of vibrant colors in his designs.

A native of New Jersey, Burrows graduated from FIT in 1966. As a young designer, Burrows changed the way the world looks at American fashion when he was invited alongside such names as Bill Blass, Oscar de la Renta, Halston and Anne Klein to show his collection in France alongsode French couturiers, on the runway at Versailles.

Running a very successful business during the disco heydays in the 1970s, his fortunes changed in 1982. For almost two decades, he concentrated on designing for the theater.

When 2002 rolled around, he made the biggest comeback in the New York fashion history – a shop opened at Bendel, catwalk presentation during New York Fashion Week and spots on the Home Shopping Network.
