PARIS, May 29, 2007/ FW/ --- Forty-three names on the tentative Paris Menswear Spring 2008 calendar and two big names are missing – Dior Homme and Givenchy. But, there are also two names that are surely great to see again – Kenzo and Cerruti.

Another surprise, Jean Paul Gaultier and John Galliano are showing on the first day, together with Yohji Yamamoto. With the big guns unveiling their collections on Day 1, it means a very hectic menswear season for retail buyers and journalists who have to catch a plane immediately after the last show in Milan that ends the day before.

True to its nature of nurturing emerging designers, the Paris Menswear calendar features several new names plus a number of young talents who are already being noticed.

Number (N)ine graces the calendar on the first day, while Jeroen Van Tuyl is showing on Sunday, June 30. Kris Van Assche, who is the new Creative Director for Dior Homme is scheduled to unveil his Spring 2008 collection for his eponymous label on Friday, June 29.

Below is the runway show schedule as released by the Chamber Syndicale. Remember, THIS IS TENTATIVE AND STILL SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
