PARIS, Jun 26, 2003/ FW/ --- Two Paris-based designers have recently announced the
début of men'scollections, and as of 2004, style conscious men, will be able to add
creations by John Galliano and Christian Lacroix to the shopping cart.
Galliano, who has long been interested in
doing a masculine version of his famous Dior and eponymous labels, has just
signed opus 1.
A few pieces for Spring / Summer 2004 are being shown this
week at the Paris men's shows to a hand full of select buyers.
As of January
2004, the fabulously hip designer is planning on showing a complete Fall /
Winter collection on the catwalks of Paris.
As for Christian Lacroix, his fashion house has just signed two agreements
to "produce and distribute his Spring 2004 men's line in selected point of
sales in France and the Middle East".
The licensing agreement signed with
the Sadev Group will focus on suits, and the one signed with the Rousseau
Company will zero in on shirts.
Christian Lacroix chose the two companies
because they are well experienced. Sadev has already worked with Pierre
Cardin, Renoma and Azzaro, and Rousseau holds licensing agreements for
Christian Dior, Thierry Mugler and Pierre Cardin.
