Sydney, May 10, 2002/FWD/ --- Roy Christou concentrated on a highly specific segment
of the market: easy-to-wear, style-conscious denim.
For the past few years, Christou has been quietly developing Roy, an adventurous
menswear line that has referenced everything from G.I. Joe to Sid Vicious.
For his first foray into women's clothing, Christou took a subdued approach with sherbet
colored, low slung jeans, drawstring tie tops, and reversible hooded sweatshirts.
The show was a success: Christou's youthful, relaxed clothes would work wonderfully
not just in Sydney, but also in Los Angeles, Miami, or Rio.
