LOS ANGELES, Nov 4, 2003/ FW/ --- When you check in at Sanctuary’s show last Thursday at the Mercedes Benz Shows LA, the first thing they gave you is a bracelet which said, “Peace, Love, Harmony, Sanctuary.”
It was so cool and nifty, that my 17-year old nephew asked if he could have it when he picked me up from the Standard that same night.
And when his girlfriend and him saw the photographs from the shows while I was editing them, both of them were ‘oohing’ and ‘aahing’ at the clothes. They were literally shopping!
When I told them that the collection would not be available in stores until springtime, their faces fell down, and both of them simultaneously said, “You mean we have to wait 4 months to get these clothes?”
Such is the effect of Sanctuary Clothing. It’s so wearable, and ‘dopey’ (my nephew’s word, which means cool), you want to have it right now. Talk about instant gratification!
Fresh, with a flirty twist, Sanctuary’s Spring 2004 collection is right on target for spring and summer.
From the opening garment of strawberry fields Capri pants to the sunrise denim Capri and pineapple cali jeans, Debra Polanco delivered ‘feel-good-to-wear’ clothes.
Offering layered sheer tanks and tees paired with flippy skirts as well as the latest shapes in bottoms like skinny straight legs, pedal pushers, capris & palazzos, the collection focuses on today’s contemporary men and women who combine comfort and high fashion.
To say that this collection is a winner will be an understatement. Call it a grand slam!
