NEW YORK, Feb 9, 2004/ FW/ ---“Love, Hope and Madness” is Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane
Clarke, the design duo behind Sass & Bide, message for Fall 2004.
A delightfully creative collection, it went the gamut from a Roman gladiator to a Maori princess that has turned to rock & roll.
Virtually unknown to the Australian fashion scene before 2000, Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke burst into the fashion scene with their signature pair of stretch denim hipster jeans - complete with a 2-inch zip that became a global phenomenon.
Within four years in the business, the brand has now offers a full womenswear line.
Last Saturday at Bryant Park, Sass & Bide continues its edgy creativeness, starting with the black/white polka dot dress, followed by a tee shirt with lace accent worn over velvet trouser.
Sass & Bide mini dresses trimmed with both sequins and leather are perfect for teenyboppers. Expect them to line up at stores come fall, waiting outside, saying, open… open… open…
Sass & Bide's portrayal of the blasé attitude of the modern-day rebel, coupled with the rock & roll feel will be a great success come fall.
