NEW YORK, Feb 15, 2006/ FW/ --- Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke continues the girly, almost romantic look for Fall 2006 that are full of contradictions, which in turn makes the collection interesting.

Take the deep V printed gown that is open in the front, closed with buttons cinched at the waist with an obi-wide belt, styled with an arm warmer. It’s sexy with a sophisticated charm to it.

Then, the design duo turns around and sends a long-sleeved white mini dress with turtleneck, again open in the front with button closures. It’s sexy with a girlish charm to it.

That sums up this feminine collection that in a lot of ways, Sass & Bide fans would love simply because this is signature Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke wherein disparate elements are converged into one.

Interesting to note though is that both had progressed in their ruching and draping, even added several open-seam work, sure signs that the design duo are turning out to be good tailors.

Though the collection has a lot of merits and will surely sell when they hit store shelves, nothing was really new. The label did not move forward, nor will it gain new fans simply because everything shown had been seen before including the leggings, the corset-style dresses, the ruched rolled at the hem mini and the big belts.
