Several months after starting the brand they found fame in a signature pair of stretch denim hipster jeans - complete with a 2-inch zip - which went on to become a phenomenon not just across Australia, where orders for the jeans skyrocketed, but also overseas.

Today sass & bide jeans are splashed across editorial pages of magazines and merchandised within ultra-cool boutiques and department stores.

The intricately stitched label (which took its name from both of the founders nicknames for one another) is even spotted upon backsides belonging to Kylie Minogue, Elle MacPherson, Kate Moss, Liberty Ross, and Sarah Jessica Parker, to name but a few.

In November 2001 the sass & bide denim corset combined with a matching micro mini and legwarmers was chosen for the Grand Marnier Powerhouse Museum Fashion of the year 2001 collection representing the years most influential fashion themes and trends.

Currently instore and most successful to date is the winter collection - ‘dollarbird’. sass & bide have seasoned this collection with their signature contradictory take by designing sports inspired pieces in sexy, edgy fabrics, garment dyed silks, french cottons and a new antique bleached denim to give the garment an aged 'don't care' look and feel.
