SANDTON, SOUTH AFRICA, Jul 29, 2006/ FW/ --- Set against the backdrop of the cool weather at Sanlam SA Fashion Week, the Men’s Collections from Sanlam SA Fashion Week hit the runway with a blast.
The Men’s Collections were sharp, colorful, vibrant and a new, sense of male sexiness was just one of the messages that their clothes displayed to their audience.
PAUL MUNROE – In his Collection, the army theme was dominant throughout the Collection. The “army print” design was used in many applications of his designs including headgear.
ZULOE – Here is a Collection that is targeted towards the young and upcoming man in our fashion industry. Their T-shirt designs were loud, funky and it gave me the opportunity to see an edgy fashion designer in South Africa.
THE HOLMES BROTHERS – created a Collection that was military inspired in part. The Collection was strong. The color palette denim, ivory and burgundy. With the Holmes Brothers finale, the designers disturbed hats to their audience which ended on a high, preppy note.
CRAIG PORT – created a Line where Miami meets California. It’s a look that had so much of it’s origins and lifestyle appeal to beautiful people that live the glamour lifestyle. The Craig Port Spring/Summer 2006/07 Collection with it’s oversized, fashionable eyewear can so easily be worn by the Socialite from The Hamptons, Newport Beach and the winelands from Stellenbosch, South Africa.
It's a wrap!
