SYDNEY, May 10, 2003/ FW/ --- It is hard to show accessories such as shoes on the
runway if they are the main fare.
Reason: they are usually so small and whatever the model is wearing is what the
audience and the cameras see.
That did not deter shoe designer Terry Biviano who can easily give both Jimmy Choo
and Manolo Blahnik a run for their money.
Creating a circus atmosphere... yes Virginia, a true circus atmosphere complete
with horses and contortionist... Terry Biviano presented her Spring 2004 collection
to the press, buyers and a slew of celebrities on the front row.
Dressing the models in 'almost not there swimsuits', Terry Biviano sent models
riding on horses ala Lady Godiva, with emphasis on the shoes and not the hair.
And there was the contortionist hanging from the ceiling!
The rest of the show was pure theater.
One great thing, the focus on the shoes was never forgotten.
Amidst the extravaganza, the shoes remained the stars of the show.
