Tina Kalivas SYDNEY, May 3, 2004/ FW/ --- Asymmetrical and like water off a ducks back, Tina Kalivas walked her sci-fi eyed little shop of horrors models under fine foggy sprinklers, perhaps in an attempt to try and make them grow taller or simply for the fertilizer photosynthesis effect.

Presenting her fifth collection, Kalivas should have by now found her own style, but this collection seemed a little too strongly influenced by a better-known English designer to the likes of Alexander McQueen.

But all hope is not lost as Kalivas knows how to do a mean cut-out, cut-away and little mini jacket and her years invested in the corridors of European fashion has taught her how to drape and structure the silhouette with the best of them proving that she is capable of great things and fruitful contracts like the one she has just signed with the new Hilton Sydney to design their uniforms.
