NEW YORK, Sep 15, 2005 / FW/ --- It’s hard enough to be an emerging designer, and the task becomes harder when it is menswear. But Tomer Gendler broke the trend as he debuted at Bryant Park with an innovative collection for men.
For Spring 2006 Tomer proposed refined dressing for men using luxe fabrics in shades of gray, with accents of blue, olive and black.
Sophisticated and contemporary, the Tomer gentleman also has individualistic tendencies, separating him from other men.
But, he is a team player at heart, as he also easily merges with a group, standing out because of his urbane dressing but also quiet and does not have any touch of arrogance.
A classic collection for classic men who like sartorial details to be unobtrusive, yet noticeable, like the gathered pant legs hem and front pockets accentuated with tiny buttons.
He wears a jacket confidently, whether he goes tie-less or decides to sport a Windsor knot.
But most of all, he is comfortable in what he is wearing, because that has always been Tomer Gendler’s guiding principle when he designs menswear.
And in this collection, the Austin, Texas – based designer succeeded in marrying easy-to-wear pieces with classical tailoring while proving mastery and skills for his craft.
