PERTH, May 11, 2005 / FW/ --- Between test pattern television concepts and glow in the dark fluorescent baby dolls, the Mercedes Australian Fashion Week was put to bed for another season last Friday in Sydney by fashion casual wear Australian love children Tsubi.
Apart from an unforgivable delay of over 1.5 hours, even far too long for those used to European timetables, the Bondi boys behind Tsubi with their exclusive front row made up of dress – up stars essential to any fashion worthy world happening put together a wonderful collection of both men’s and women’s casual wear that walked the fluorescent tube and mirrored walkway reminiscent of their newest store opened only the eve before.
So as Anna Wintour, Tom Ford, Colin Farell, Sophia Lauren and even the dead Andy Warhol watched on, demonstrating that their dark Australian humor is the key to their success, prisms of color appear on t-shirts matched with colored zip up ankle skinny jeans, oversized bomber jackets for girls and black and white snow patterned television motifs for boys.
Accessorized by white rimmed sunglasses, large mirror rectangle box bags and paper cut out badges, their postmodern style is transformed into wearable street fashion hot on any fashion mongers must have list.
