Tsubi Opens Second Free Standing Store in Sydney

Mercedes Australian Fashion Week Spring 2006

SYDNEY, May 6, 2005/ FW/ – With a calendar packed so tight and a very special VIP skyy vodka room overlooking possibly the most spectacular Harbor in the world, it leaves little time to do much else during MAFW.

But there are just some events that are too tempting to miss. Last night, the Bondi Beach boys from Tsubi opened their second freestanding store in Sydney. With one already in Bondi and after opening their first US store in New York a little over a month ago, they are on a roll.

Set in the semi trendy Sydney area of Paddington, fluorescent tubes light the store name in the window. White plastic covered metal cages hang from the upper limit and changing room tents drop from the ceiling to be pulled up again by ropes similar to those used for curtains.

Designed for street wear fans, both male and female, jeans are piled up on the floor under clothes racks and accessories are placed in glass topped cabinets set near the wall.

Out the back the beer was kept cold in large plastic bins filled with ice, and like any typical backyard party, it was full of people, music and laughter. So with all this as a plus, their down to earth attitude and sincere love for the fabulous Sydney lifestyle, it is no wonder they were in some way a fashion accident waiting to happen.

Tsubi will close MAFW showcasing their ready to wear spring summer 2005/06 collection this evening at 8pm.
