NEW YORK, Feb 6, 2004/ FW/-- With a collection entitled, ‘supporting Venetian art,’ it was easy to expect that designer Kati Stern will go back in time during the golden age of Venice as center of art and music. And she did.

Kati Stern opened the show with two girls who wowed the audience both with their clothes and because they looked so cute.

One was in dusty beige and rose embroidered taffeta dress and the other one wore a deep turquoise and fuchsia layered dress.

And then the grown-ups followed, wearing dresses and gowns reminiscent of the Renaissance (1450-1600) and Elizabethan (1558 –1603) eras.

The first of the 46 exits shown was a black laser-cut shearling trimmed in fox, laser-cut leather bustier with fuchsia silk charmeuse lining worn with black laser-cut leather skirt, which basically defined the whole collection.

Leather, velvet and fur were widely used in the collection, giving it the richness of the era that inspired it.

The collection will be great for the Hollywood scene, especially during premier nights.

Beyoncé Knowles will look really good in the chocolate distressed leather jacket with plum Persian lamb matched with a chocolate distressed leather skirt.

The blue grey tuscan shearling jacket with unusual tassel details will complement Halle Berry’s exotic looks.

The printed crocodile bustier with Mediterranean blue worn with caramel glove leather pants is perfect for either Madonna or Britney Spears on stage.
