FATEMA FARDAN FALL/WINTER 2015NEW YORK, Feb 19, 2015/ — Unveiling her Fall 2015 collection on February 13th, Central Saint Martin alum Fatema Fardan presented daywear in contemporary tailoring and evening wear that is pretty yet functional.

Titled “Refined Folk”, the collection referenced obscure symbols and ritual traditions providing darker undertones in the very modern silhouettes. Unexpected tactile surfaces, decorative finishes and ornaments provide fine details.

Notable guests included: Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Rachel Zoe, Roger Berman, Carole Radziwill, Stassi Schroeder, Natalie Joos, Lilla Crawford, The Misshapes, and Cory Kennedy

Born in the UAE in 1987, Fatema Fardan was educated in London at the American Intercontinental University where she graduated with first-degree Honors in Fashion Design and Marketing.

As a young designer, her innovative and distinctive style earned her the Most Outstanding Student Award in London, and the Fashion Show Competition at the AIU in London for women’s wear design in 2011.

Fatema’s career includes designing with formidable fashion houses such as Tata Naka, Bora Aksu (UK), and interning with Louis Vuitton in the Middle East.

Fatema’s odyssey has propelled her to explore Textile Design and Fashion Marketing at the London College of Fashion and Central St. Martin’s where she has developed an international vision for design.
