DALLAS, May 21, 2007/ FW/ --- Only one of the two majors in Menswear Design who showed during the AAU Graduation Fashion Show, Chelsea Rae Snyder is coming into the fashion scene at the right time.

With Hedi Slimane out of Dior Homme, the room is wide open for the next most influential menswear designer. And, though there are a lot of candidates in Milan, Paris and New York, the excitement in menswear will spill over to new graduates who will enter the field.

The silhouette for menswear is ripe for a change. Innovations and new vision will be unveiled before the end of this decade. And with technology in terms of wireless development entering the fashion arena, it will only add to the anticipation of new designs coming up.

Snyder also chose the right blend of elements for her collection. Inspired by the fusion of industrial and organic, she used architecture and nature in sourcing colors, textures and moods.

With taking care of our environment as one of the hottest world issues, Snyder’s choice of sustainability as she combined technical, organic and eco-fibers in her creations also made her collection right on the current mood.

Using Alpaca from a local farm in Vacaville, Snyder used fabric that was hand-worked by spinning, weaving and felting, as well as hand-dyed using natural dye.
