DALLAS, May 21, 2007/ FW/ --- The moth, best known for its attraction to light and perhaps as the source of silk. The silkworm is actually the larva of the domesticated moth Bombyx mori and others.
With the moth’s close association with fashion, it is not surprising that Vancouver, Canada native Nadia E. Webster found inspiration in the organic symmetry of the lines and patters on the wings of moth.
The BFA Knitwear Design graduate created pullovers and sweater dresses with symmetrical lines, with the left and right side perfect mirrors of each other. And as expected, butterfly sleeves were seen on the dresses and the knitted smock coat.
Very wearable with a touch of elegance in the eveningwear, Nadia E. Webster can easily turn this collection into commercial silhouettes.
