DALLAS, Apr 18, 2007/ FW/ --- Dressing the whole family for Fall 2007, designer Charles Nolan hit the perfect pitch for the American city dweller where dressing up is a must but everything has to be easy-to-wear because of the lifestyle they are leading.
In the metropolis, there is always a mad rush, but it is never an excuse not to look good. So, Charles Nolan created tubular mini dresses that are sometimes cinched at the waist with a narrow belt, and then paired them with opaque hose, which he proposed in different colors – black, magenta blue.
It’s about ease of dressing, especially with the separates. Skirts were either pencil cut or with two-pleats in front. Trousers for women came in two varieties – straight pencil slim or slouchy. Skorts were also suggested as part of daywear.
And to keep the ladies warm, Nolan created multiple variants of the coat, from nylon slickers, to herringbone cape coats and trapeze trenches.
For men, straight leg pants that are sharply tailored, but do not restrict movement. From the three-piece suit to the tuxedo, close neck and V-neck pullovers to woolen city coats, Nolan made sure that the man of the family has everything he needs for work and play.
And the children, well… let it be said that they are as well dressed as their parents. Translating the adult silhouettes into the more playful and tougher needs of children due to their high energy, Nolan just made them the best-dressed kids on the block.
