LOS ANGELES, Mar 24, 2006/ FW/ --- Designed by Chris Kopeck and Crystal Heald, Chulo Pony is a women’s clothing label designed from the heart of Nettwerk Music Group, the Vancouver-based record/management company that represents international superstars Avril Lavigne, Dido and Sarah McLachlan to name just a few.

Chulo Pony’s design collective consists of Creative Director Chris Kopeck, Art Director Crystal Heald and Artwerks Creative Director John Rummen.

The group found the label in 2002, inspired by the connection between the vibrant music scene and the fashion savvy individuals that support it.

Originally an intimate apparel designer with Vogue Bra, Chris Kopeck has been designing clothes for 10 years. As Chulo Pony’s Creative Director, she oversees the design of the line each season. Her innovative designs, which focus on the impeccable fit and clever design details, have made Chulo Pony’s collections sought after worldwide.

Crystal Heald was the Director of Merchandise for Sarah McLachlan for 14 years before she decided to start the fashion label with Artwerk’s Creative Director John Rummen in 2002. As Chulo Pony’s Art Director, Crystal is responsible for the ornate embellishments featured on many of their key pieces ranging from the layered silk-screening and foiling to the delicate hand-stitched embroidery.

Chulo Pony’s clothes are for women with an individual sense of style who want clothes that are feminine, flirty and fun to wear. No taking themselves or fashion too seriously, the designers inject all aspects of the brand with their trademark irreverence – from the amusing stories with their imaginary muses that provide the backdrop to their collections each season, right down to their content labels imploring each wearer to “Love Me, Wash Me.”
