PARIS, Jul 2, 2004/ FW/ --- David Kurtis gave a fierce kick start to the men’s shows in Paris. Debuting in his first collection, the French designer of 24 years showed that a little less is often times better!
Daring and sexy one-piece bodysuits electrified the journalists present. They came in a simple variety of forms: either with bikini briefs or boxer briefs. And guess what? No a single pair of pants in sight!
Every passage was accentuated with leather riding boots and/or sleek leather gloves. Of course, no collection of this nature could ever be complete without a few swimwear pieces… And boy, Kurtis’ screamed of unbridled sex appeal!
This daring show featured young, handsome, body-beautiful, healthy male models. Each appeared to be more beautiful than the others. These men without a doubt reflect David Kurtis’ own philosophy oh health as he himself is a natural specimen of a brisk, beautiful man who takes care of himself.
Although it is 100% wearable, this collection is not for the timid or meek at heart. And to correctly wear a David Kurtis and to do them justice, one has to be conscious of his body and not be afraid to draw compliments and stares.
His black body suit with was all excitement. Done all in leather, it gives free run to naughty thoughts and a pocket full of fantasies!
Some may find the collection’s low plunging necklines a bit confusing or feminine. But the fashion world and fashion victims are looking for something different. They have found it here. This collection should sale like hotcakes in specialty boutiques.
An interesting shift came when the designer sent out an off-the-shoulders version of his soon to be famous bodysuits. This is good news for guys who spend a great deal of time in the gym as Kurtis has given them the vehicle through which they may now showcase the results of their efforts.
While there is no great chance that Kurtis has financially ruined himself with excessive fabric purchases for this collection, he achieved wonders with his sensible and wisely chosen selection of jerseys, leathers and tulle. Some pieces were even embellished with lovely panels of lace, which only served to accentuate a man’s natural sex appeal.
The bad news is that this collection is only for the bold and the beautiful! Kurtis’ creations will certainly be the impetus for driving men back into the gym to sculpt their bodies over into Greek statue-like form.
