MILAN, Sep 26, 2006/ FW/ --- You can always get a smile out of an Enrico Coveri show. He is in many ways the bling bling for Milan. When everyone else is doing black and white Enrico was there to add a splash of colour and a dash of dazzle.
The collection had a very resort feel. Tight fitting dresses in brilliant colours, sexy strappy bikinis and sequin-covered tops. The collection was flashy but concise. It had a good flow and you could really tell that Coveri knows his customer.
Hearts, horseshoes and flowers made up a camouflage print that came in monotones or a rainbow of Barbie colours. Outfits were decked out in this print head to toe, long skinny pants to flowing sleeves and tops.
White sequined tops had contrasting red or blue polka dots but the real stunners were the one colour sequin tops. A long sleeve brilliant blue top paired with a colourful polka dot melange print bathing suit bottom was oh so cute and sexy at the same time.
Long gold necklaces held a red and white polka dot swarovsky crab and multiple bangles had charms. The jewelry had playful themes orated in precious way.
Bangles ranges in sizes and colours from large painted sets that finished mid-arm to thin gold ones that barley covered the wrist.
The audience applauded two pieces, a full sequined dress with Coveri written large on the skirt and a sexy tight pink slip dress. Double ruffles opened at the hem, of the dress, and were embellished with a golden cord down the middle and an EC symbol on the side.
Flashy! That’s what Coveri is known for and that’s what his customers love. In fact they loved it so much that they were almost falling out of their seats clapping at the end.
