Form NEW YORK, Sep 8, 2006/ FW/ --- Just when you thought white stockings were only for women in the medical field, Form restated and placed it back in vogue. As the frosty frail model brigade thumped the runway adorn with white powdered faces and hair, the highlight of this first day of fashion began.

The first day of fashion week is very similar to first day of school. Everyone still looks the same from the season before and the designers are not straying away from their sense able imagery. Form presented something very different from the minds of a dynamic design quad-team.

Although the show began with a unique frost driven theme, the show picked up with swimwear with S curves cut for a Brazilian. White snake swimsuits transitioned into silver sparkle cowl and tunnel dresses.

With the colors being very muted and understated, the collection was viewed as futuristic. The unconventional silhouettes of tanks with baggy rouging with hoards of extra material are the statement look for Spring 2007.

It is about being restrictive at the bottom with tights or elongated ster-up leggings juxtaposed to a loose baggy non-form top. This silhouette is similar to what the Japanese have recently being doing on the streets of Tokyo, which was taken from what many hip-hop groups were wearing in the late 80's and early 90's.

Form has made a statement with the un-even hems on jersey knit dresses. A few chocolate looks were fitting. Although chocolate is not viewed as a traditional spring color, it was a perfect fit to such a non-color show.

Form is definitely on target with the future of fashion. Their silhouettes, their ideas and their execution came together for a un-expected treat and highlight of the first day of fashion classes.
