PARIS, Feb 3, 2005/ FW/ --- Francesco Smalto by Franck Boclet presented another superb collection in Paris for Fall 2005 –Winter 2006.

This collection started with redingotes, worn with luxurious animal skin hats as the fashion house took us far away to the discotheques of Siberia.

The pants have pencil-thin legs and are nearly tight. The short zippers used by Boclet in these collections really have a way of curving the male’s backside making men irresistible to women.

The proof of this can be found in any of Boclet’s creations in plaid patterns. Some pants bear a striking resemblance to fencing pants. They hug the butt and thighs in just the right way.

Smalto set the trend for hairstyling for next season to come. Models sported sleek hair slicked and oiled down to the scalp with a twisted ponytail holding close to the neck. It’s rare to see true inspiration in men’s hairstyling coming directly from the runways, but Smalto has struck gold with the looks they propose.

The suits have a 70’s leisure-suit look and feel to them. However, the Smalto suits in this collection are done in some of the finest fabrics in direct opposition to the leisure suits of two and a half decades ago.

Smalto was among several houses to show full-length capes this season. Here, the capes are done in tweed and move with the man wearing them instead of against him. It’s all in Boclet’s superior cut.

The Smalto collection’s final silhouettes were big hits with the audience. Boclet signed off on several evening suits that are as sophisticated as a tuxedo, yet far sexier. His single breasted, single button evening suit in multicolor print and his white evening suit in satin brought the audience to a thunderous round of applause. These suits are definitely a boost of confidence and sophistication for any man.
