SYDNEY, May 3, 2005/ FW/ --- For spring summer 2005/06 Brunsdon takes 1920’s iconic lady Millicent Rogers, known for her international jet setting life and inspirational dramatic style, adds a strong cowboy element and redefines the silhouette.
In a mix of silk organza, chiffon, crepe and cool wool, Brunsdon’s female has Mexican flare, hints of American Indian culture and longs to spend time in her Santa Fe ranch.
Wearing an earthy colour palette that moves from rose and orange found in sunsets to midnight navy and delicious mud chocolate, twill skirts full of volume are matched with a Taos Blouse or Sombrero jacket, little bolero’s and girly frilly detail.
By accentuating waistlines, putting a new twist on classic American sportswear and focusing on what he calls ‘reality dressing’, Brunsdon makes elegant femininity modern with a twist of desirable glamour.
