Just Cavalli Just Cavalli MILAN, Sep 28, 2006/ FW/ --- Exchanging overt sexuality for a sportive feel, Roberto Cavalli scored a touchdown with his Spring 2007 collection for his second line, Just Cavalli.

A stage set based on an American football field, a brass marching band opened the show, announcing immediately that this collection is meant for a youthful clientele in general and the college coeds in particular.

Mini dresses based on a varsity jacket, slim fitting cropped pants based on jogging pants, complete with the stripes on the side and on the elastic band hem cuff and the stacked heel laced up shoe based on the sneaker, are wonderful reworking of the familiar sports apparel.

Still, this is Just Cavalli and the audience expects that signature Roberto Cavalli high-energy sexuality, and the designer did not disappoint. A low waist short shorts in denim was paired with a golden varsity jacket that was cropped at the waistline.

Conquistador styled hot pants in beige and an all denim ensemble of the brief shorts and snug fitting denim jacket with red, white and beige elastic band at the waist will be a sure winner among the teens and twenty-something, and chances are will be a favorite outfit in college campuses in the U.S.

Trousers are slim fitting. A stand out is a pair of leather pants inspired by the football uniform. Lengths vary from Capri to traditional, and they either came in solid color or original Just Cavalli prints.

Not forgetting that college life is not just about books and sports; Roberto Cavalli created evening gowns and cocktail dresses for the highly anticipated fraternity and sorority balls.

And with Nicky Hilton modeling a figure hugging ruched gown and the final exit, a red cocktail dress with a taut bodice and layered ruffles for a skirt, Roberto Cavalli ended the show with a performance of the brass marching band.
