Max Azria came to the U.S. in 1989 and founded BCBG. BCBG stands for Bon Chic Bon Genre which means good style good attitude in French.

Azria's chic designs and artful styling captured the interest and attention of both Hollywood stars and women who desired modern and sophisticated apparel at more reasonable prices.

BCBG Max Azria became a household name, making it one of the most successful fashion labels based in Los Angeles. In 2006, Max Azria launched his eponymous label 'Max Azria' a more sophisticated version of BCBG.
