PARIS, Jul 2, 2004/ FW/ -- A graduate of the University of Applied Arts at the Vienna Masterclass of Fashion (class of 1999), Bulgarian designer Petar Petrov started as a costumer for advertising campaigns and music videos before going into fashion design.
The 26-year old designer (born April 10, 1977 in Ukraine) worked at Wendy & Jim where he was responsible for the production and presentation of the A/W 2000-2001 menswear collection.
In Vienna, during 2001, Petar Petrov worked at ‘Be A Good Girl’ and ‘Pirouzi,’ responsible for the cut and development of the spring/summer and autumn/winter collections. Yet, he cannot forget his life as a costumer, so in 2002, worked on the concept and fabrication of costumes for ‘Lifeball 2002.’
Also in 2002, he received honors for his work on the label “#” for the S/S 2003 collection shown at ‘Kuntslerhaus,’ and garnered the ‘Trade Association Prize’ from the Austrian Textile Industry.
In 2003, he launched ‘One of Some’ label and presented its first menswear collection, A/W 2003 at the ‘Showroom Romeo,’ here in Paris.
‘One of Some’ is distributed in Paris, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
