SYDNEY, May 3, 2005/ FW/ --- Auckland, New Zealand-based designer Trelise Cooper opted for the bright colors of spring and combined them with graphical elements such dots and almost-ethic icons for her avant-garde silhouettes.
With the brand currently being sold only in her native New Zealand and Australia, Trelise Cooper should try entering the Japanese market, wherein individualism and ‘anything-goes’ fashion is taken at a premium.
With color blocks and prints, making the whole collection a kaleidoscope of tones and shades, and with a very young target market, the brand will fit well with the very fashion forward Japanese.
Vacillating between fluid lines and volume, and pairing the clothes with either cowboy boots or sneakers, there is a certain rebelliousness that is being proposed.
Yet it is the playfulness that prevails and stands out, making this a very fun collection.
