Rebecca Taylor and Gabby Sabharwal (1)Rebecca Taylor, known for its modern, feminine aesthetic, announces the launch of its first swimwear collaboration with Giejo.

Giejo’s designer, Gabby Sabharwal, is best known for her figure-flattering silhouettes that effortlessly combine color and pattern. The capsule collection consists of mix and match swim separates in lavender & blush paisley, bold leopards and florals in vivid fuchsia.

Prints were inspired by vintage Indian dresses worn by Rebecca’s mom in the 70’s and the brand’s signature leopard prints.

Rebecca Taylor and Gabby Sabharwal (2)Giejo’s mission to provide women with the perfect fit, versatility and modern silhouettes resonated with Rebecca. Intrigued by Gabby’s charismatic personality and strong ambition to become a designer reminded Rebecca of herself at the beginning of her career. The similarities between the brands allowed for an organic collaboration and immediate synergy between the designers.

“I always felt swimwear was a natural extension for our brand and thought it would be fun to collaborate with Giejo as they have a unique perspective in the swim market,” explained Rebecca.

“I love the idea behind interchangeable and multifunctional swim pieces that you can customize to your body type. When designing, my customer is always top of mind and I wanted to offer a capsule collection that she can have fun with while still feeling confident.”

“I have always been inspired by not only Rebecca’s aesthetic, unique point of view in the contemporary market and her ability to create vibrant and innovative prints, but also by her nurturing and encouraging nature as a designer and mentor – which is rare to find in fashion,” said Gabby. “It is an honor to collaborate with her on such an exciting collection.”

Rebecca Taylor’s novel prints paired with Giejo’s figure flattering swim separates create the perfect balance of modern femininity and downtown cool.

The Rebecca Taylor X Giejo collaboration fills the niche for customers who want to feel fashion forward, while maintaining a sense of ease when getting beach ready.

The collaboration marks a first for Rebecca, as the designer has not previously offered swimwear. The capsule will be available at all Rebecca Taylor Stores as well as online and will retail for $100-$125 per piece.
