NEW YORK, Sep 7, 2012/ — A decade that designers love to revisit, the 1980s continue to be a source of inspiration. And for Spring/Summer 2013, designer Kaelen Haworth designing for her eponymous label was inspired by Jean Paul Goude’s revolutionary work with Grace Jones.

Tailored silhouettes are softened by peplums that were constructed n neoprene for its softness and drape. Structured shoulders, one of the many iconic looks of the 1980s are carried through the collection,

Giving a nod to the early trend of black and white, Kaelen Haworth used Graphic black and white prints in visually striking vertical stripes or an organic pattern mimicking petrified wood that were hand painted by Eva Zuckerman.

Bright buttery yellow, pale pink and nude were thoughtfully incorporated adding a delicate, feminine aesthetic.
